Artificial Intelligence: Science and Fiction by Laurent Ach & Augmenting Human Creativity by Adiyan Mujibiya
<Artificial Intelligence: Science and Fiction> by Laurent Ach

Computers beat humans in many fields, starting of course by calculus many years ago but also in tasks where we did not expect them like chess game in the 90s, and more recently in recognizing complex objects and scenes in images. They are not yet able to have a real dialog in natural language, which is one way of comparing human and computer intelligence (the Turing test) but several well known scientists anticipate incredible times when Artificial Intelligence will be exponentially improved and will largely outperform human intelligence. The goal of this talk is to point out some fondamental differences between computer and human intelligence, which are usually ignored in the discussions about the future of AI.

<Augmenting Human Creativity> by Adiyan Mujibiya
This talk will be focusing on how we can engineer the vision of Artificial Intelligence, especially on how we can combine human creativity with computational intelligence to solve our daily issues. Specifically, we will discuss our most recent R&D projects in the scope of creativity support in human-computer interaction. Our explorations spans widely in supporting content creation for product visualization and objective description, computational augmentation for personal fabrication design, and also a computational framework to obtain support from others (crowdsourcing).
