Kingston joined Rakuten in Apr 2015 as a new graduate and is currently working at Rakuten Bank as a software engineer. In university, he played a major role in developing a core banking infrastructure from scratch using current banking best practices, based on web services using a service orientated architecture design, running off an enterprise service bus.

A strong advocate of client side web based technologies, he developed a multi-channel internet banking platform with clients for both browser and mobile devices.
